Weekly Meeting 7

Posted by creed1701 on Tuesday, 6 September 2016 at 5:10 PM

Hello SEE!!

This week we will be playing a game with many game modes with one thing in common:
You can NOT stay still, or you will die.

That's right, this week we are playing "Move or Die", a fast moving brightly coloured game where your lightning quick reflexes and ability to charge and avoid other players is paramount. As usual, we will also have our consoles available for use, as well as steam access if you prefer PC (errr.. laptop) gaming.

After this weeks meeting, we will be heading down to That VR Joint, a VR arcade and one of our sponsors. All SEE members get 33% off HTC Vive usage, so feel free to come along, and don't forget to bring your membership card.

Date: 9 Sep. 2016

Time: 2pm-5pm (not including VR trip)

Location: 103 Old Metallurgy

Weekly Meeting 6

Come one, come all! It's olympics time!

Enjoyed the Rio Olympics? Looking forward to the Paralympics? But can't take this despair-inducing gap between the two any longer? Don't worry, SEE's got your back! Test your might against other SEE members in Long Jump, 300m and Equestrian (read: Unicorn Riding) in a ragdoll-flinging frenzy for first place. Will you be the overall winner, and take the gold*? Only you can decide!

As usual, we’ve got all our other consoles available, with a multitude of other games! Can’t find something you want to play? Bring it up with the committee, and we’ll see what we can do. Feel free to bring your own laptops and handheld consoles, too.

~ Your SEE Committee

*not actual gold, actually just chocolate.

Gotta go fast! Because this week SEE is presenting SpeedRunners, the game where you outpace your oponents and sabtage their path to victory. As with all of our showcases, this game will be displayed on the lecture theatre's projector and available to anyone who wants to have a go (don't worry, the game is pretty easy to pick up).

As usual, we will also have all of our consoles there with their own wide selection of games. We will also have our network with on-campus Steam access for those PC gamers out there as well (BYO laptop). Its going to be a great time and we hope to see you there!!

Weekly Meeting 4

Hi SEE,

You may have seen fighting games before, but you have never seen fighting games fight each other! This week for our usual meet up, we will be having two game tournaments, one in Tekken, and one for Mortal Kombat. Once the champions of each game have been determined, they will compete against each other to decide which fighting game reigns supreme.

Also, as usual we will have our consoles set up, as well as Steam access should you want to bring in your laptops/other handheld devices. All in all it should be a truly epic afternoon.

Date: Fri. 19 August 2016

Time: 2pm-5pm
